22 Juli 2010 is de enige dag waarop het Transpair huis ‘af’ is. Deze middag en avond is het resultaat te bekijken van tien dagen bouwen en maken. Grijp je kans en kom langs. Bij de objecten liggen labels met de makers en ruimte waarop je je bod kunt schrijven. Kun je niet naar de veiling komen? Op deze manier maak je toch kans om iets mee te nemen.
/ The 22nd of July 2010 is the only day on which the Transpair house is ‘finished’. This day and afternoon you can come and see the result of the ten day simulation. Objects will have labels with the names of the makers and a space to place a bid. If you can’t come to the acution, this way you can still have a chance to take something home.

17.00u Veiling / Auction.
Staging Transpair is een open-source project, in de zin dat iedereen er vrijwillig en zonder geldelijk belang aan heeft bijgedragen. De resultaten van het experiment zijn vrij toegankelijk, de materialen en objecten hebben een nieuw thuis nodig.
Een enorme hoeveelheid uiteenlopende materialen, meubels – intact en beschadigd, en de Transpairs gemaakt tijdens het experiment, worden op de laatste dag geveild. De opbrengst dekt hopelijk de kosten van het experiment, en eventuele winst wordt gebruikt voor toekomstige Transpair projecten.
De veiling is open voor alle geïnteresseerden. Als je er niet bij kan zijn, kun je alvast een bod doen op deze website. De veiling wordt online uitgezonden, maar helaas op lage kwaliteit. Deelnemers krijgen 50% korting bij het afrekenen. Zij hebben die korting verdient met hun bloed, zweet en tranen.
Op deze blog kun je de verhalen van de belangrijkste objecten vinden. Ik nodig nieuwe eigenaren uit om foto’s en verhalen over het verdere leven van hun artefacten te posten. Alles is gemaakt voor mijn tijdelijke woning, maar ik hoop dat anderen er net zoveel van zullen genieten als ik.
/ Staging transpair is an open-source project in the sense that everyone who contributed did so willingly with no financial gain. The results of the experiment are open to the public, the materials and objects need to find new homes.
A big collection of different materials, (broken) furniture and the Transpaired artefacts will be auctioned on the final day of Staging Transpair. The money raised will cover the costs of the experiment, and profit will be used for future Transpair projects.
The auction is open to anyone interested. If you can’t make it, you can already place a bit through this website. The auction will be broadcasted on the live-stream but on low quality I’m affraid. Participants get a 50% discount after the bidding. They already paid with their sweat, blood and tears.
On this blog you can find the stories of the most important objects and I invite every new owner to post photographs and stories on the continued life of their artefacts. All objects were made for my temporary home, but I hope people will enjoy them as much as I did.

18.00u Borrel / Drinks and bites.
Het einde van het experiment wordt in stijl gevierd met een open-source borrel. Tot nu toe heb ik steeds voor eten en drinken gezorgd, maar dit is je kans om achterin de kast te duiken en hapjes en drankjes mee te nemen die je niet lust of die maar niet opkomen. Als anderen hetzelfde doen zullen er genoeg aangename smakelijke verrassingen zijn.
/ The end of the experiment will be celebrated in style with open-source drinks and bites. Until now I took care of the food and drinks, but this is your chance to dive into your cupboard and take unwanted or unfinished treats. If others will do the same, there will be plenty of pleasant surprises.
